Successfully Upgraded My openSUSE 11.2 to 11.3 via Zypper

Today i have successfully upgraded my system from openSUSE 11.2 to 11.3. I managed to do this via terminal using zypper command, based on the step-by-step described in howtoforge.com (http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-upgrade-opensuse-11.2-to-11.3-desktop-a...).

Actually, there are other methods that i could do to upgrade my openSUSE:

  1. First, download the Installation DVD, burn the image CD, and then install it traditionally via DVD.
  2. Or download the Live CD (Gnome/KDE), burn the image CD, and then install it traditionally via DVD/CD
  3. Or boot viaNetwork
  4. And the last option, upgrade via zypper or yast, and i've chosen to use this method.

At first, i doubted this method will be succeed, but i remember i have done this kind of upgrade before (i upgraded my openSUSE 11.1 to 11.2 with zypper dup before). I followed all the steps described in howtoforge very carefully,  as the result my system was successfully upgraded and all is running well on the new version of openSUSE.

For you guys who use openSUSE 11.2 and have a desire to upgrade your system, this could be an alternative method to do the upgrade process.

Note: i do some modification in the steps which howtoforge described above. Specially in adding custom repository, if you are going to follow those steps, please add the same custom repository in your system with the new custom repos for the 11.3 version.
